From 200 year old traditional farmhouse, this building is now renovated in to modern house with U-shape at agricultural site in Viena, Austria. Propeller Z is the architect who designs this work. By making the house preserving the traditional barn and fence, the house is much more eco friendly, energy efficient, and cheap. Courtyard separates the barn and stable from the living space.
The south wing of the farmhouse is half-buried into the slope of agricultural site. While build as home with extension, this actually make a contemporary farm house. The main house design and architecture is featuring a kitchen and living room behind floor-to-ceiling glazing that capture south views. Via: designboom
