This is Ecohouse building that is designed by Riddel Achitecture. Home of a new residence that located in inner Brisbane on a narrow riverfront site. Designed in contemporary style, and has lot of furniture. They are placed properly even in a narrow room. Of course not all the rooms are small; there are some large master rooms too. The house is built base on sustainable home goal, so it is designed to get maximize the northern solar access. The design process has been checked against the BCC Sustainable Housing Checklist and has achieved a 6 star energy rating. Most of the construction materials of the house architecture are functioning energy in maximum such as water consumption and maintenance.
Sun light is being use nicely through solar panel to get passive heating of the water. Water is maintenance on site, ideally removing dependence on town water supply and energy consumed in the house will be offset by grid-connected solar panels. More of it the cooling system is achieved through thermal mass, appropriately designed from sun shaping, insulation, ventilated wall and roof cavities and cross-ventilation to rooms.
